Carpenters Company

The school is proud to have links with the Carpenters Company.  The school is built on a site next to the original Carpenters' Institute, and close to the Carpenters' and Dockland Centre.
Members of the Carpenters’ Company provide valuable assistance to the school by acting as governors and/or providing administrative help.

In addition, regular grants made by the Carpenters’ Company are used to buy items of educational benefit such as; a reading book for every child at Christmas; part funding for the Year 5 & 6 residential visits to Fairplay House and providing transport for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage to take part in an educational visit outside of London.

The Master of the Carpenters’ Company presents the prizes at the school’s annual prize giving, and Year 6 children are invited to an annual Christmas party in the Carpenters' Hall, where they find out what it is like to be a member of the livery company and take part in the voting system.

Generous Donation

I am delighted to inform parents/carers that, as a result of a generous donation of £10,000 from the Carpenters Company, who work very closely with the school in many areas, and using £4592.00 of the funds from the School’s Community Account (funds raised from the Summer Fete etc) we have been able to install new sound and lighting to the school hall. Our heartfelt thanks go to the whole of the Carpenters Company, but in particular to Mr Martin Samuel (School Governor) and to you as parents/carers of the school who donate in many ways through school fundraising.

We look forward to showing off our new equipment at the end of year summer concerts on Wednesday 15th July 2015, where we will have the Master of the Carpenters Company in attendance.
