School Development Plan
2016-2017

 

Overarching Target:
To drive standards so that the school is at least in line with National Expectations under the new curriculum and testing framework, with a particular focus on Reading, Maths & Attendance.

Reading:
To continue to embed the whole class teaching of reading, complemented by the reciprocal reading programme, so that children are able to access and perform well in the end of year tests.

Maths:
To embed the teaching of problem solving and reasoning, with a focus on pitch and challenge, so that children are able to access and perform well in the end of year tests.

Attendance
To ensure all children attend school every day and on time, to receive the full, balanced and broad curriculum they are entitled to so they have the best chance of achieving at least national expectation.
School attendance target – 96.2%
School unauthorised target – 0.7%

End of Year Goal:
All children will meet their challenging end of year targets as a result of good or better teaching, which is based on rigorous and effective use of assessment.
